Final thoughts
After around 2 hours of planning, 3 hours of perfecting my story and another hour of designing this website as well as the countless hours of research and extra's that went into my project as a whole. I finally finished the day before going back to school from the Easter holidays. I then created this page as a collection of my final thoughts and reflection of what I have learnt during this project.

What have I learnt?
I have learnt more about the mythological stories therefore I have learnt in this small tale all these things
- The fate of Prometheus - By learning about him I actually delved into knowing more about one of my favorite hero's: Heracles who freed Prometheus from his terrible punishment from Zeus -This also helped me to understand Zeus' complex as a character more and more
- The evolution of mankind - I was able to really discover how myths closely follow my own religion. I noticed straight away the startling similarities between the story of Pandora's box and Adam and Eve's story
- I have subsequently learnt more and more about different examples of hope around the world and by researching these tragic events I have come to have an appreciation of what I have and created a sense of hope for a better future

Of course when you are re-adapted an old story you will of course come across sections which are very thought provoking and sometimes even spark a strong emotion.. these are a collection of thoughts that I did not know how to add into my main story but still believe should be included:
- I often thought that by stealing fire, Prometheus was also giving human kind hope - the fire was not just to symbolize warmth but to symbolize new life and hope for a better future
- I often realized there was a very strong connection between Eve and Pandora. In both versions Pandora and Eve are often considered the "first" women. This really fascinated me as they both went against strict orders and curiosity pushed them to release "sin" into our world. What also frustrated me was the level of misogyny around Eve and Pandora blaming them solely for the destruction of their world so I tried to show how it was the curse put upon her not an incentive to hurt.
- I also really pictured Pandora as a perfect example of humankind, flawed and imperfect.
Reflection
Prayer for hope
Dear Lord,
When the days feel dark and heavy, when the doubts shield our vision. Help me come to you, seeking the light and walking away from pain and sin.
You are our hope. Help me to trust in you and place a fire of hope in my own heart. Thank you for the promise of better days to come.
